Lake sakakawea is one of the largest man made lakes in the US, it has over 1,500 miles of shoreline and is 178 miles long. Some of the fish in lake Sakakawa are walleye, Northern Pike,and Rainbow trout. There are also multiple state parks and marinas on the lake . One of the biggest parks on the lake is fort-stevenson state park. Fort stevenson is home to Garrison Bay and de Trobriand Bay.These being the largest bays on the lake.
